The Solidity Summit 2025 recordings are now live! ✨ This year’s Summit took place in Buenos Aires during Devconnect, bringing together 350+ builders, compiler engineers, language designers, auditors, educators, and power users. A full day of updates, research, and future-looking discussions for the Solidity ecosystem!
A key theme this year: the compiler backend overhaul. The shift to the new Yul → SSA-CFG → EVM pipeline brings improvements for the compiler: faster compilations, fewer stack-too-deep errors, deterministic optimized output - while laying the foundation for both Classic and Core Solidity moving forward.
The Summit also emphasized the relationship between Classic & Core Solidity: They’re not separate languages, but two interconnected stages of one roadmap. • Classic = production language with ongoing performance upgrades • Core = redesigned type system, generics, ADTs, first-class functions & formal semantics Both will coexist, with gradual migration paths = cross-language imports + common compilation interface.
Talks spanned the entire ecosystem: 🔧 Advanced compiler research 🧪 Experimental toolchains 🛠️ Tooling & debugging updates 🔐 Security workflows, verification, type-driven development
