I don’t think prediction markets are gambling Before you say bla bla bla you have the Kalshi badge you’re biased I think gambling is when you put money into something that depends fully on probability and pure stats where you can’t change anything Like roulette, you pick a number and pray to the odds Or slot machines, where you depend on an algorithm that you can’t influence Prediction markets are different because you can actually change your odds With research, with information, with timing, you can increase the probability of winning your position You depend partly on your own work, not fully on the goddess of luck Not the same imo
pretty sure the sportsbooks back in the day tried something similar to make people feel like they had edge through handicapping for a bit you could have some marginal edge handicapping (or at least perceived edge - i used to try my hand at it) but you still wind up getting blown up because... it's gambling
