New implementation milestone: BOB’s engineering team has cut on-chain costs for BitVM3 operators by ~87% thanks to cut-and-choose, a cryptographic technique used to verify the honesty of garbled circuits. BitVM3 is the next evolution of BitVM, the technology that will power BOB’s native BTC bridge. It uses garbled circuits to make disputes ~1,000× cheaper than BitVM2. Native BTC on BOB is getting closer.
