My sincere thanks to @christine_dkim for including my perspective in the latest issue of her "BTC Before Light" newsletter. For anyone who wants to seriously follow #BitcoinCore development, her newsletter is an essential read. The article does an excellent job covering the nuances of the important QSAVE proposal, a debate currently taking place on the Bitcoin Development Mailing List that touches the very core of what Bitcoin is. As quoted in the piece, my position on this is, and will always be, non-negotiable: embedding a group of people to arbitrate claims goes against the very essence of the network. #Bitcoin was created specifically to be trustless and remove the need for such intermediaries. Reintroducing them would be a fundamental step backward. I believe the correct path for future upgrades is through voluntary, opt-in technical solutions—not through committees embedded in the consensus.
