I just shared this on a very important call: Crypto adoption is always discussed from the perspective of challenges faced by people in tier 1 cities around the world, and so inherently the face of crypto has become institutions and infrastructure companies that enable large scale solutions with a new range of accessibility barriers like technological lift and simple economics. Where the industry significantly lacks depth today is in tapping into grassroots communities, rural neighborhoods, and tier 2 and 3 cities that are the cornerstone of any globalized economy, and yet are always underrepresented or fully ostracized from conversations that affect them, sometimes equally, sometimes disproportionately. Offline Protocol is an egalitarian attempt at representing their interests because we understand the value of their contributions to society both from a monetary standpoint and from a morality viewpoint. We believe this intentional inclusion can showcase the power of technology to become a driving force for positive impact, and is a necessary step to take the industry beyond this privileged bubble of adoption.
